This series takes some of the concepts from earlier this year, and frames them with thin lines. I am still painting to the line and not using tape. I am painting the line color in first, laying out the line in pencil then painting the forms around the line. This comes out of a technique that I started in 2015 using tape on panel. However, by painting to the line I am able to make color adjustments as I work on the painting. The color shifts that happen throughout the painting while it is in process can seriously affect the line color and push it by it's contrast in color or hue.
